What is it?
Blendle is a new Dutch site on the social web. It is a site where you can browse free through several magazines and newspapers.
You can read articles that are interesting according to colleagues, friends and family whom you are following.
browsing through the magazines and the newspapers is free, but if you want to read the articles you think are interesting, you have to pay for them separately.
1 article costs between 20/90 cents, in depends on the contents.
Why is it cool?
What makes Blendle cool is that you are able to scroll through several magazines and newspapers all in 1 site, and only read what’s relevant for you to read. You can also share interesting articles with your friends, family or colleagues and they can also share things with you. A disadvantage is, however, that people who are reading a lot are not rewarded but disadvantaged, because you have to pay for every single article you want to read. So it can be very expensive, while you can get free information on the numerous sites that are available on the social web..
Why does it have future growth potential?
Blendle has future growing potential because nowadays there are so much news sources that we are losing the view on what’s interesting for us to read.
Also you can see what the other people whom you are following are reading and that could be inspiring for you. However i think that the prices are limiting the site to grow further because people have access to the same free information
